We just made it through Cassandra's Sweet 16th birthday party! She had a nice, mostly family party this year. She wanted Mexican food, chocolate cake and rum cake ;) Of course, we made all that happen! She had her three favorite girl friends over, her boyfriend and lots of family. Her birthday has been a challenge the last 3 years since Mike passed away. I don't think she ever knows exactly what emotion to go with...sadness that he's gone, excitement for her birthday, sadness that he's not here to see what she's doing and who she is becoming, guilt if she IS feeling happy. I know that she just misses him terribly as we all do. Anyway, here are some pics!
