SUMMER BREAK!

I get so excited for summer break...hey,  having the kids home is the only good thing about "summer" in Arizona.

We kicked off our last day of school (May 21st) by leaving for Colorado as soon as the kids finished their half day!  We drove to lovely (ha ha) Winslow and stayed the night. Griffin and Alyssa LOVED the indoor pool!

Thursday we made it to Pagosa Springs. The weather was amazing, a little bit of rain every day. Temps in the 50s and 60s during the day, 30s at night! We visited Creede, the Leonard family plots in the cemetery, visited the Creede Mining Museum which was really informative and cool!

In Pagosa we visited our land, all that glorious snow Shane and I saw in January had made way for GREEN growth everywhere! The mountain was crawling with deer. So beautiful! We bought a couple of Aspen trees and a couple of Colorado Spruce and planted them. We met our sweet neighbor and he told us to hurry up and move up there! I wish that were the case....

We loved walking down by the San Juan River in Pagosa, we played at the park. The food does not disappoint in Pagosa. We ate at Kip's Grill and O.M.G.!!!! It was amazing food and spices...just a party in your mouth (yes, I just said that!) We spent a day in Durango, beautiful weather and a major bike race for kids was going on. Lots of little cuties on tiny bikes racing their hearts out!

Shane drove us to Wolf Creek Pass so we could play in the snow (on the way to Creede) and we loved it. I wish I had packed more "cold weather" stuff for the kids so we could have really enjoyed it longer but it was nice even to have the short visit there.

Boring rambling over...on to pics!

Picked up the last day of school...we're on the road!
Getting a little restless and ready to get out of the car!
 Gotta love indoor pools!
Met up with Rod in New Mexico as he was visiting family! We had a delicious pizza at Riverside Pizza :)
 First day at the cabin
Ahhhh, cool weather soothes the savages!
 My sweet!
 Our property
View from where the cabin will be
 Hot tubbers at the cabin
 A great day for soccer!
This was our lunch in Durango at the something Belle restaurant. They had live music and the food was tasty but slow as molasses!

 Wolf Creek Pass
 Creede Cemetery
 More Wolf Creek
 Loving the snow
Shane planting one of our baby Aspens
Up to no good!

Summer holidays are always fun and considering it, I have also decided to throw a summer party at one of best party places in the Bronx. I hope everyone enjoy it as my budget isn’t that high but don’t want to cut things or quality.
